Knox PAWS
Knox PAWS matches eligible seniors with adoptable pets. Research indicates that pets improve seniors’ physical, emotional, and mental health. The Knox PAWS program works with area animal shelters to match senior pets with senior citizens.

Community Shares is a federation of Tennessee based non-profits who have joined together to raise money cooperatively.
CAIT
A program of University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. CAIT‘s mission is to reduce the state surplus of homeless cats and dogs by taking a proactive approach and promoting humane education throughout the state, thus improving the lives of all companion animals in Tennessee.
These veterinarian clinics, offices, and hospitals have agreed to be a participating Veterinarian for animals adopted from The Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley (HSTV). They offer the first initial health exam at no cost. If you have an animal medical emergency and it is after hours please contact an Animal Emergency Center. If you are a veterinarian and you are interested in becoming a partner of HSTV, please contact us for the Participating Veterinarian Agreement. Thank you!
